Terrible service, would give negative stars if possible. Make sure you check your credit card bill after you rent! They’ll charge you ridiculous amounts of money claiming it was for “gas charges” and say that they lost the receipt proving that you filled the tank. Rent from anywhere BUT here. Also, their customer service is even worse, they never respond to emails and are curt to customers on the phone.
Always have rented from here without any problems.... now they wanted a 300 hold on my debit card for me to be able to rent the car. The hold would take 7 to 10 days to get back after I returned the car.
horrible service and overcharged for rental for no reason. avoid at all costs
To top it off they refuse to drive me 5 miles to a friend house to get my car... so I'm stuck at the airport...
This is a terrible way to provide service to a loyal Hertz Gold member.
There was no way I was putting a three hundred dollar hold of cash for a free points rental... epically when there was no warning about this hold...
Thank Heavens Uber is running in Ithaca now.
Horrible service. They charged me (after emailing me the receipt) an extra $60 (which they did not notify me and I did not find out about until I saw my credit card bill) and when I called several times to get an explanation for what the $60 were for, they would keep changing their answer. Rather than apologizing and giving me a refund, they just ignored my emails and kept asking for my gas receipt and the time stamp on the gas receipt (which I gave to them when I returned the car so obviously didn't have it).
This was a free two day rental with points... which I had to call and fight for my points back cause I was canceling the rental after the pick up time...
So I made a reservation for the next morning which I admit, I was late to pick up. Rather than call and confirm I was coming they gave the car away and could not provide one to me.
This location closes long before the last flights arrive for the night.
They closed at 7 PM and I landed at 11:30 PM.
Don't rent from them they will scam you and if you do, take a picture of everything (the dashboard and gas receipt) because they will accuse you of not filling the gas and take $60 without notifying you. :(
